Kenya Connect (KC) is an NGO dedicated to connecting students globally through correspondence and service learning programs. Since 2002, over 55,000 students from 176 schools from around the world have been partnered with Kenya Connect’s 55 enrolled schools. Over $600,000 has been raised by partner schools for several projects including the installation of 45 water tanks for collecting rain water and the construction of a green computer and learning resource center. GeoSafari East Africa provides safe and comfortable travel to the KC project site in Wamunyu (about a two-hour drive east of Nairobi) along with making stops at the many KC Trail cache series including KC Trail: Wood Carver’s Co-op (GC4RDWJ) where this trackable is carved from sustainably grown ebony.
